I'm sitting by the phone
Waiting the dark
Waiting to hear your voice
buzzing down the old cracked wire
but it is silent just as I am still
There's no sound and no hope
please old cracked phone
why wont you ring
and why i am crying
when i had none left to shed
the ghost in the shadows
sniggers his woeful tune
I'm sitting by the phone
waiting in the dark
waiting to hear your voice
buzzing down the old cracked wire
Thank you.
After all this time and all this heart ache
I just wanted to say thank you.
You made my life wonderful.
I've been through hell but you were always there.
Your eldest grand son wouldn't be here today without you.
None of us would.
Your family dose you credit,
and we'll carry on in your name.
And in us you'll live forever.
I know it's so hard right now
and I know your scared
and I wish to god you weren't in pain.
But at the end of everything know that your family love you.
I know that soon you'll be gone from this world
but never gone from our hearts.
Thank you, for all you did and said.
Kept us going and made us
give me this song
and i'll dance forever
like a doll in a music box
i'll never stop
give me this night
and i'll chase away the darkness
and make the stars sing
like a composer
in a musical just for you
give me this chance
give me this dance
and we'll change the world
if only for one night

you can have whats left
you were there
you saw it all
and didnt flinch away
you are still here
i look to my side
and all i see is you
you've helped fix me
even when i was in despair
and past all repair
the sticky tape on my heart
keeps me together
and the thought of you
keeps me breathing
i'm far from whole
bits of me have gotten lost
along the way
but you can have whats left
tacked together with sticky tape
you can keep what you've fixed
because i've already given it to you
forever this time

Before we start, lets get one thing clear: Im not a fairy tale. Theres no happy ending and certainly no Prince Charming. My name is Sherren Butler, but I dont use it often. Sherren is my mothers name and as much as I love her, I could never imagine being her. I prefer Shelly- its a nice clean name, that name doesnt have a past, it doesnt have a lifetimes worth of excess emotional baggage.
Where to start? A witty, snide voice in my head whispers how about the beginning? Which, in any other story, would be a great place to start, but seeing as this is a story about
You can say a thousand words
You can tell a hundred lies
But i know the truth
That lay's beneath your eyes
You can hurt me with every word you speak
You can pick me up with every lie you whisper
But Ill still know the truth
Even if you run from it
Even if you hide behind your lies
Ill still know what lays beneath your eyes
So Ill say a thousand more words
And Ill take away a hundred more lies
All because i know what truly lies in your eyes
So you can say a thousand words
You can tell a hundred lies
and i'll always hear the words you'll never let fall
i love you

Do you know hate
Have you ever let yourself go
Has the feeling ever taken over you
Or do you not let that side of you show
Have you ever stared into the face of an enemy
Did you see the rage expressed on his face
Have you had to dig down deep inside
And purposely turn away from grace
Did you ever turn the key and open up the cage
Let out the demon that had long since been locked away
Was it something you almost enjoyed
As you went to battle on that bloody day
Was your hate enough to give you strength
Did all those years of pain finally come through
Were you able to overcome your fear
Or did it take command of you
Where do you
i'm shelly. there's not much to say after that.....so i won't say any more.

at about 11:30pm on Monday the 21st of June my Grandmother Claire Ellis passed away peacefully in her sleep.
she leaves behind her 4 children and six grandchildren with a great grandchild due in a matter of weeks.
she was the best person I had ever known.
she hit cars that were parked on the footpath with frozen turkeys.
she stared in my brother's version of stars war's called the pensioner strikes back which can be found on youtube.
she made rude jokes about the government and if ever a sales person came to her house she had them running away with her delightful use of the English language and a selection of her favourite four letter wo
